This watch celebrates the nuclear submarine Dmitrji Donskoj, class Akula TK 208, decommissioned in 2023. Dmitrj Donskoj has been the biggest submarine first of Soviet Union and then of Russia. It is 170 m long.
At the end of the 90s the submarine has tested several times ballistic missile Balava. Sometimes the missile has been launched from Khamcatka towards White Sea up to Murmansk, through all Soviet Union, with a range of 9300 km. This missile cannot be intercepted by NATO’s anti-missile systems.
Sometimes missile Balava has been launched from Murmansk towards Khamcatka; error on target (when there was one) was within 150 m. It can launched a 150 kiloton’s bomb.
It has been decommissionaed at the end of 2023. Vostok created 4 celebrating models.
